Video reference for the 20 gems of The Promise (West) in the June 2026 Next Fest demo; the full solution video is linked below.

The Promise (West): 20 gems

The West half of the demo is about colored beams rather than mirrors. Beams come from emitter blocks, and a gem placed in a socket switches on every emitter in its room. Standing in a beam gives you its power: green lets you walk through walls, cyan lets you push blocks, yellow breaks rocks. The area has a surface and darker depths. How the gems and emitters work, and how to tell if you are soft-locked, is on the Explorer guide.

The full 20-gem solution is in Joric’s West video.

Gem timeline

The Gems counter in the corner shows the gems you are carrying, so it drops whenever a gem goes into a socket. The table lists when the counter first reaches each number in the video; that is close to, but not exactly, the order in which new gems are found.

Gems carriedVideoWhat happens
10:10First gem from the starting shrine; placed nearby, the yellow beam breaks two boulders.
21:23A gem lights the cyan beam in the lower-left room and a boulder at the end of the beam is pushed away.
34:17Middle-right area; a green beam crosses the whole map.
45:33Upper-right area, with an orange beam.
57:11Lower half of the map, yellow and red beams lit together.
