Order of the Sinking Star has 32 Steam achievements. Use the finder below to search them by name or condition (in English, Chinese or Japanese), filter by type, sort by rarity and tick off the ones you already have. Each entry shows the official name, the unlock condition, the global unlock rate on Steam and a link to the guide that helps.
How the achievements are split
The 18 visible achievements trace the shape of the game itself.
| Type | Count | What unlocks it |
|---|---|---|
| Initial campaigns | 4 | Finish the initial campaign of each of the four worlds (Heroes, Mirror Isles, Beamcasters, Skipping Stones) |
| Gold Rooms | 6 | Open a Gold Room, the rooms that join two worlds |
| Antipode | 6 | Activate the teleporter to the Antipode for each pair of worlds |
| Endgame | 1 | Complete the Endgame |
| Completionist | 1 | Finish every puzzle in the overworld |
| Second stage (hidden) | 14 | Hidden on Steam until unlocked; switch on spoilers in the finder to see them |
Six days after launch, about two in five players have finished the North’s initial campaign, at least 28% have opened a Gold Room, and 2.4% have completed the Endgame. With more than 1,000 puzzles in the game, low numbers are no surprise.
What the Gold Room letters mean
Each Gold Room is named after the initials of the two worlds it joins: H = Heroes (North, The Hearty Heroes of Hauling), M = Mirror Isles (East), S = Skipping Stones (South, Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes) and B = Beamcasters (West; called The Promise in the demo). Six rooms is exactly the number of ways to pick two of the four worlds (4 × 3 ÷ 2 = 6). How to solve each room is covered in Gold Rooms: all 6 solutions.
Achievements that are easy to miss
- The four initial campaigns come naturally once you clear the first stretch of each world. Only Skipping Stones (South) lags behind at 15.9%. The game itself suggests starting North or East, so many players probably leave the South for later (see which direction to go first).
- Antipode achievements unlock when you activate the teleporter to the Antipode for each of the same six pairs of worlds as the Gold Rooms. Their unlock rates are well below the Gold Rooms’, so they appear to lie beyond them. Once you open a Gold Room, look for that pair’s teleporter too.
- Completionist covers every puzzle in the overworld. It should be the last achievement you get, so there is no need to chase it until the rest are done.
Hidden achievements (14, spoilers)
The other 14 achievements belong to the game’s second stage, after the first Endgame. Steam hides their names and conditions until you unlock them, and the names alone reveal late-game areas. The finder above keeps them blurred; switch on “Show hidden achievements” (or reveal one at a time) when you want to read them.
PS5 and Switch 2 trophies
This list is for the Steam version. We have not been able to check the PS5 trophy list, so we can’t say whether the count, names or grades (Bronze to Platinum) are the same. Switch 2 has no trophy system at all. Both console versions launched on October 8 in the US PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop (see price, platforms and release date). We’ll add the trophy list here once we can confirm it.
