Who the Sailor is
The Sailor is the South protagonist, moving between fog-covered islands in Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes. The South is about where things stop: a skipped stone, a drifting lily pad, or you riding one.

How the South works
- Stones skip over water. Kick a stone into the water and it skips in a straight line across the open water in front of it.
- Where it stops decides everything. If it runs onto land it becomes a normal stone on the shore. If something stops it over water (another stone, or the other Sailor) it sinks into a walkable tile.
- Two-stone paving is the basic move: send one stone across, then skip a second along the same line so it sinks in front of the first.
- On land a stone moves one tile, and the Sailor can push only one stone at a time.
- Lily pads drift the way they are hit and stop when they bump another pad. A pad wedged into a corner can never drift out again.
- Currents carry pads, not stones, and a sunk stone cuts a current where it lands.
- Time controls. Hold Ctrl to slow time for tight timing and Alt to speed up long waits.
